A sweet friend of mine came to a gathering that I host regularly and she brought a whole host of delicious yummy treats full of chocolate, dairy and wheat – the latter two of which I avoid as often as possible. It was such a sweet gesture to bring something, I didn’t want to make a fuss about not being able to enjoy any of the lovely yummies that she brought. Until she pointed out that she hunted down and purchased a vegan fudge. Vegan fudge? I’ve been looking for a good recipe for years that didn’t include cream, soy or anything else I can’t consume (or choose not to, I should say). I’ve tried a few in the past and they were either grainy or not very pleasing and I thought, oh, boy. Um, thanks?
Boy, was I wrong!
This vegan fudge is creamy, soft, smooth and so delicious, you don’t want to stop at one piece. Or one bar. It’s texture is amazing and some of the best fudge I’ve ever had. Ever! That includes all the dairy-filled delicacies I’ve had over the years prior to giving up dairy products. The company, Got Chocolates, also claims the fudge is gluten-free (hence, the chocolate doesn’t have any added or hidden ingredients) and they simply make their original recipe for their famous fudge with almond milk replacing the cream and coconut oil replacing the butter. How much better can it be?
